Symptoms
Mainly, polio makes people get a fever and eventually it will become paralysis. Though some people won’t be paralysis and stops at the initial stage. A person does not become immediately sick. A person who is infected with polio can spread polio about 7-10 days before symptoms begin. A person can continue to spread polio for about three to six weeks after the beginning of polio symptoms. However, a person is most contagious for the 7-10 days after symptoms of polio have begun. When a person is infected by poliovirus the virus begins to multiply within the cells that line and back of the throat, nose, and intestines. The symptoms of polio can be categorized in 3 groups, which includes minor symptoms, aseptic meningitis, and paralytic poliomyelitis. 4 to 8 percent of people gets minor polio. Minor polio's symptoms are soar throat, fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and constipation.
